The Beer Nations
From the first game of the tournament on Thursday 5th February until curtains come down on this years Six Nations, we will have a selection of specially selected guest beers available for each nation.

IPA, 5.3% abv
Like the Irish rugby team, it’s a true crowd pleaser, bold, dependable, and always delivering the goods (lol, WE HOPE!).

IPA, 5.3% abv
Like the Irish rugby team, it’s a true crowd pleaser, bold, dependable, and always delivering the goods (lol, WE HOPE!).

Brewed right here at The King’s Quay by Bangor Bay Brewery, Ireland’s Call is our very own 5.7% Irish Red Ale - made with the Six Nations in mind and poured with a bit of local pride. ☘️🍺 It’s smooth and malt-forward with toasty caramel notes up front, topped off with a toffee finish with a subtle, satisfying nutty edge.
This one isn't a 'hop bomb' (this one’s for the drinkers, not the botanists) - it has just a gentle bitterness to keep things crisp and balanced, plus the faintest hint of berry if you go looking. It's the perfect pint to back the boys in green with, because nothing says Irish Rugby like a locally brewed red that you can sing about (and of course a bit of belief!) 🏉💚

Our final choice of Irish brewery for the event is big hitting and very well respected, welcome to The White Hag. Based in Ballymote, Sligo, The White Hag has been established since 2013 and produces some really excellent and exciting beers. Proof of this can be seen in this weeks choice of brew... The Serpent.
The Serpent is a limited edition beer created to celebrate St Patricks Day. It's not just the distinct tastes of gooseberry, lychee and peach that will draw people to this 'Spring Ale' though. Nor is it the awesome can art or clever name which bears homage to St Patrick himself. Instead, the big talking point will most likely be that the beer is completely GREEN in colour.
Hopefully, the same colour of green as the side that lift the Six Nations trophy on Saturday. Come on Ireland!!

Brasserie Meteor, Meteor Blanche
From the Alsace region (Hochfelden), Brasserie Meteor serves up Meteor Blanche - a bright, cloudy French wheat beer that’s all about freshness and easy drinking charm. Expect soft wheat, a little citrus lift and a subtle spiced edge (think gentle coriander/lemon vibes rather than anything heavy). Crisp, lightly zesty and satisfyingly “one more glass” material.
Much like Les Bleus when they’re in full flow - flair, pace, and a bit of “how did they do that?!” - Meteor Blanche is a classy opener for a big Six Nations night. If France are bringing the fireworks, this is the perfect French pour to have in hand while you watch.

Premium Lager, 4.7% abv
Peroni was founded back in 1846 by Giovanni Peroni and it began its life in the Northern town of Vigevano before popularity dictated a move to Rome in 1864. There, it has been celebrated as one of Italy's most popular breweries ever since.
It's safe to say that most of us have enjoyed a glass or two of Peroni Nastro Azzurro in the past, but have you ever tried its red label version?
Peroni Red is deeper in colour to its blue label stablemate. It has both subtle malt and hoppy characteristics. Light in body but with a slightly stronger taste profile, makes this is a more popular brew in its native country where it actually holds the title, 'Italy's favourite beer'.

Just like the Welsh rugby team, known for their spirited and dynamic play, Cwrw Ysgawen offers a lively and invigorating experience... Who are we kidding? Unfortunately the Welsh rugby team have been a little delicate over the past few years so we felt a beer brewed from elderflowers would be a good fit 😉
Joking aside, I think we'd all like to see the Welsh get back to their winning ways again during the 2025 tournament (just not against the Irish!).
Straight out of Newport, Wales, Tiny Rebel bring the sunshine with Clwb Tropica (Club Tropica) - their famously juicy Tropical IPA that tastes like someone’s blended a holiday and poured it into a pint. We’re talking mango, pineapple, peach and passionfruit on the nose and palate, with a hazy golden look and a hoppy backbone keeping it crisp rather than cloying.
And as for Wales on the rugby pitch? They’re never short on heart (or volume in the stands) and Clwb Tropica matches that energy perfectly: bold, fun, and built for big moments. If you’re backing the boys in red, you may as well do it with a beer that reads like a singalong, in liquid form. 😉🍍🍺

Named after the famous Welsh hymn "Calon Lân," which translates to "Pure Heart," this beer captures the essence of Welsh pride and passion. Hopefully it does the trick on the pitch.

From a railway arch in Bermondsey, London, The Kernel don’t do flashy but they do seriously good beer. Their Export India Porter is a gorgeous throwback to the old “export strength” porters, but brewed with a modern twist: it’s dark, roasty and chocolatey, then lifted with bright, IPA-style hopping for a surprisingly fresh finish. Think coffee + cocoa + a little dark fruit, with a clean hop snap that keeps it very drinkable.
Rugby wise, it’s a pretty fitting English pick: traditional at heart, but with enough bite to keep you on your toes. Perfect for watching England try to convince everyone this is definitely their year… again. 😉🏉🍺

Pale Ale, 4% ABV
Much like the English rugby team, known for their tactical discipline and relentless drive, Summerleaze is expertly crafted and always dependable.

Pale Ale, 4% ABV
As mentioned previously, whilst the English rugby team might be known for their tactical discipline, let's hope this beer brings a bit more excitement to the evening than their usual game plan 😉

Golden Ale, 4.5% ABV
Much like the Scottish rugby team, who are always good for a surprise (and a little drama!), Sheepshaggers Gold keeps things interesting, memorable and a lot of fun.

From Scotland’s ancient brewing playbook, Fraoch Heather Ale is a proper standout. It's a light amber ale brewed with Scottish heather using the old Gaelic “Leann Fraoch” tradition that predates hops by centuries. The result is brilliantly distinctive: a floral, slightly peaty aroma, a full malt backbone and a spicy-herbal finish that’s almost tea-like (in the best way). It’s basically a pint of the Highlands… minus the midges.
Much like Scotland on a good Six Nations day - stubborn, proud, and capable of upsetting anyone if you give them an inch. Fraoch has that unique character that keeps you coming back for another sip. If you’re backing the Scots, this is the one to raise when the bagpipes start in your head and the tackles get a bit “enthusiastic.” 🏴🍺
